Torremolinos Spain

Torremolinos is a municipality on the Costa del Sol of the Mediterranean, immediately to the west of Málaga. Torremolinos was originally a fishing village back in the 1920s, but has been rapidly overtaken by tourism. Over the years, Torremolinos has evolved as an attractive and appealing resort, noted for its clean sandy beaches, wide choice of hotels and restaurants and unparalleled variety of entertainment, activities and nightlife available. At the height of summer, the resort has a great appeal for the younger set, with a reputation for its hectic nightlife. The Pimentel Tower is Torremolinos’s most popular icon. Also known as Torre de los Molinos, this tower dates back to the fourteenth century. San Miguel Street is the nerve center of town and an open-air shopping center. In fact, it is one of the busiest streets in Europe.
